MINI Convertibles – The Latest Addition
by admin
Ever since BMW bought the rights to re-invent the used Mini of yesteryears, there have been a number of model additions to the new range. The MINI One was the first car to be introduced, which was followed by the MINI Cooper. An S version was then released to provide a sportier experience and since then there has been the Clubman, which acts as a five door MINI with extra space. And now there are, believe it or not, a number of convertible models that has been added to the range of MINI cars. The first is the MINI One Convertible, which has a top speed of 112 mph, acceleration rate (0 to 62 mph) of 11.3 seconds and a combined fuel consumption rate of 49.6 mpg. The Co2 emissions rates for the vehicle are 133 g/km. And the cost of the car can be purchased for less than £15,500 (brand new model). The next model is the MINI Cooper Convertible, which has a top speed of 123 mph, acceleration rate (0 to 62 mph) of 9.8 seconds and a combined fuel consumption rate of 49.6 (the same as the MINI One Convertible). The Co2 emissions rates for the vehicle are also the same as the MINI One Convertible (133 g/km). The cost of this car, however, is slightly more expensive and is currently available for less than £17,000. To complete the Convertible range is the MINI Cooper S Convertible, which has the best top speed of 140 mph, acceleration rate of just 7.3 seconds and a combined fuel consumption rate of 47.1 mpg. The Co2 emission rates for this model are slightly higher than the others, however, and calculate to 139 g/km. Naturally, the cost of the Cooper S Convertible is higher as well with an on the road price of £19,965.
